After a long weekend at our bear camp, I made the commute once again to work. After my 10 hour shift today I grabbed my my gear and headed to the sage.
A short drive lead me to some new area.. big country, wide open. I tried a couple stands but really felt I was I feed grounds not denning areas so I pushed further into the higher country... 12 minutes in this lone male came hard charging over the ridge in front of me. Only packing my rifle I pluck my remote activating the fox bang feature.. preset to challenge barks.. he put the breaks on at 45 yards.. bang flop....

Forgot to mention, my 12 year old son Lance took his 5th bear. His 3rd using an xbow.. pretty good week so far..
