Finally got a chance to hook up with a hunting buddy. He uses the same type set up I use as far as a gun mount but his stand is portable and easy to disassemble. We got set up...
This big nasty dude tried cutting across the field, I shot him at about 150 yards, really nice cutters, one of the best boars I ever killed...
John's set up, being on top of his bed cover gives him more height than my set up that's in the bed...
John stalked this guy, after some cat & mouse games, John smoked him, another boar for the night...
While John was busy doing that, I saw a boar had come up behind the trucks but in a different field, so I made a short stalk on him and that made three for the night...
We saw plenty of other hogs but we were really after coyote, but unfortunately we didn't call any in. There's always next time.
