Yes if there is a change to firmware, it would require sending it to Bering to be updated. Boris told me based on all their pre-testing as well as feedback, they were not anticipating any updates at this time.
When I asked Boris about firmware updates he told me the same thing. Also mentioned that they had tested these for 4 years before they were brought to market so as to work out all the bugs first!
