Vocal coyotes ...

Are New England coyotes vocal in the summer ? I’ll be summer hunting for the first time this year in Connecticut . Wondering if I should be using pack howls , lone howls , pair howls . Obviously pup distress is a must in the summer time but besides that .
 
You will find vocals work year round. So do prey distress sounds. I find some nights coyotes are vocal & maybe the next they are not. I always assume they are there. Many will come in silent. Practice your basics on every set, always be ready to shoot when you start calling. Sometimes it will happen in seconds ! Many times not at all !

If they see ya, hear ya or smell ya GAME IS USUALLY OVER !!!
