Sound storage

How are you storing your sounds on your computer? Simply keeping them in the "downloads" section or something else?

Also if I make multiple folders to keep the sounds safely "backed up" will that compromise the quality? Thanks

It won't hurt the quality of the sounds to keep them in folders.

I keep them on my CPU and a separate thumb drive in case of CPU failure.
