Is the season at it's peak

A friend is getting 2-3 per day right now.
With breeding season winding down and calving on, it is maybe the best time to see some dumb ones wandering.

We've killed a couple triples and a few doubles on film in the past couple weeks. BUT within the last week I've seen a defined change in behavior.

I think we are past the peak here as far as rut. Territorial should get interesting soon.

I like this time of year, not because there are dumb ones running around, compared to Oct., but they are much more vocal and there's just something about swapping spit with 'em and then getting them to charge in, and there aren't any other hunters to screw things up and the ranchers like seeing coyotes hunters out and about because most are calves or about to.

Just ran a 3 day hunt. Had the best hunt this year by far. They were coming like they suppose to.

The coyotes in my area of Minnesota seem to be very willing to move to respond to vocals rate now were normally there very reluctant to show themselves.
