Scope opinions

I have a Remington SPS Tact. with a 20" barrel in a MagPul Hunter stock. Now it has a Nikon 4x12x40 P Tactical 308 scope on it. I have a Bushnell Forge 2x15x50 and a Cabela's 5x25x56 FFP and a Vortex Strike Eagle 1x8. The Bushnell and the Cabela's are BIG scopes. Which of the scopes would you use?

What are you going to use it for and what ranges are you looking at?

1. Calling cats in the PNW where 100 yards would be a long shot

2. Coyotes in more open country, called or targets of chance.

3. Prairie dog out in the grass lands.

I could see one of each of your choices depending on the situation.

Sorry Tim, yes 308. Just bought it Saturday, not sure what I'm using it for yet. Maybe hunt with it a little, deer and hogs. Probably more range time than anything. Hopefully banging steel if I ever convince the officers at the club to change their minds.

I would think the Cabela's would be brighter and sharper overall and for mainly paper/steel target shooting - that would be my choice.

I put the Cabela's on it for now. I'm working loads so I figure it will be the best choice for that. Man that thing is big and heavy though.
