I'm putting a sidecharging ar 10 in 243 together. I have a 9 twist 22" heavy barrel on another upper I was gonna put on it but I'm wonder if a bca 20" 8 twist would be worth a shot. I've never shot 70's in and 8 twist. I will be shooting dogtown ammo. I figure for 90 bucks its not much if a crisis if it shotguns them.

Not the same cartridge but I am back to doing load development in a 26” 1in8 twist 6 creedmoor with 70 gr blitzkings. I am getting it ready for a prairie dog hunt in June. At 100 yds I have never had one blow up. Have not shot it farther yet but at 100 it pretty regularly shoots .5 if I don’t screw it up. I’d have to look but if I remember correctly they are running 3750ish anear max load. Hope that helps

Well my 20" will probably be closer to 3400 with the 70 dogtown so I think they will stay together. If they won't shoot I will slap the other Barrel on it after testing a few more bullets.

I shoot Nosler 70gr Ballistic tips in my 6mm Creedmoor using a Proof 20in tube but my barrel is a 9tw. RL16 with those 70gr Nosler BT's shoots in the 2's in my gun.
