Bolt gun or AR for suppressor

So I'm waiting for my omega to get out if jail. I need a threaded barrel for it. My current dtech AR upper is not threaded. I'm pretty much decided to go with .223. Should I get a bolt gun or a new upper that's threaded? Most shots are inside 200 yards.

My dtech is fluted and has the built in compensator so it cant be threaded. Leaning towards bolt since should be quieter as mentioned already

Life is to short to only have 1 host weapon. Might as well get another upper too then. AR parts are cheap right now.

My dtech upper also had the built in compensator and believe it or not it is actually threaded on. I would call them and find out if yours is to.

My DTech AR .223 had Mike's integrated compensator and it was no big deal for the gun smith to remove it and thread for my suppressor.
