My new 17-204 just came in

Hadn't decided how I will checker it yet. I did do this with the grip cap.

Originally this rifle was going to get a deep dark bluing, with a CM barrel. But things changed.

Rifle ended up weighing 8 1/2 pounds scoped. So that is fine with me.

I seem to remember another member here with spiral flutes on a tan cerakoted barrel. Incredibly sweet. And this is in 17-204. If I was setting up a dream rig I don't know that I would do a single thing different.

I picked up enough 30gr bullets to outlast the barrel, so I won't have to use any of my 25 gr Berger Match bullets. Besides it was built to just shoot the 30's.

Good Lord, thats a pretty chunk of wood....and of course a really pretty rifle.

After all these years tell us how it has shot for you.....

30 gr Kinder golds @ 100 yds

Huntschool, I tried to sell it a while back, but shot it again and decided to keep it. The 30gr bullets at 4000+ fps are really something else.
