I took some time on Sunday, since I was not going to be deer hunting, plus I had the day free to breakout my call and play around a bit and see what came around. I set up a ground blind and sat there and made some calls out to the woods to see if anything would pop it's head out. After about 15 minutes or so this Red Fox popped out and circled the decoy a bit then laid down near it...It did not try to attack or eat it, just circled and then laid down...kinda weird, but after about 2 to 3 minutes of lounging it wandered back into the woods. Pretty cool to call it in since this is a pretty urban environment, and no one has ever seen a fox there before.
Any idea why it would just lay there?
