Action packed night !
Coyotes were on the move with the temperature plummeting last night/ early this morning. After the dew settled and the frost set in, at 5am I was on my way home with 1 on the rack.
My first set had one backdoor me and I had to pass on the shot as there were houses in the background. Finally get one coming and can’t shoot !
This 28 lb. female made the mistake of crossing in front of me just I was about to start calling this set. I thought the pair were deer until I saw the tail swish around. Almost in my downwind I hurried to get the shot. The 223 shooting the 55 gr. Hornady hp dropped her at 210 paces. Couldn’t get her mate to stop.
My last set had 3 running the call over. When one finally stopped on it’s way back out, I must have missed. WHAT A NIGHT !!! (2 pointer )
