Fleshing Coyote Heads?

I trim off all of the extra "meat", trim and/or turn the lips and pull the ear cartilage. A liberal dusting of borax (the same borax found in grocery store laundry aisles) until it looks like a powdered donut really speeds up drying of the face/nose and the "underarms" when the pelts are on a stretcher.

I do scrap the head, split the ears, doesn't take that long and have no worries. Blanie Eddie had the best coyote fur put up video out there if you can find a copy. After everything is fleshed I let sit on a wire stretcher till it just damp to the touch, rub borax all over the hide but hit the face, ears and arm pits with borax the best and put on a wood stretcher fur side out.

Interesting you mention Blaine Brent--actually wrote a couple articles about him in TVHM years ago. Have all of his DVD's I think and got one of his "plates" for necking down cartridges. Always liked him--he was a good guy, and extremely knowledgeable. Thanks.
