, which is more practical IR or Thermal when dealing with hogs around feeders

A friend has asked me for help on discouraging pigs from invading his fields that have feeders. Shooting seems to be his initial solution. In looking at options that involve shooting I thought I would ask those with experience using both types or at least one of them for your thoughts.
Thanks

Thermal is best for hogs. If you are shooting close range on feeders you want a unit with a wide field of view.

There are too many variables to cover from scratch. Go to the night calling forum and READ. Lots of good info there that will allow you to familiarize yourself with thermal technology.
