I’m gonna follow along too! Sending in my VA paperwork so I can get a reduced fee tag over there. Hopefully by December I can be trying to find one around Bonners where we have friends. Dunno if I’d bring my longbow though! Haha good luck!

My hunting partner and I are talking about coming to Montana for a wolf hunt. Any places we should look at

Any forested areas on the west side of the state. Probably one pack of 3-5 animals every 150-200 square miles or so. Bring some comfy boots, you won't see any from the road. Plan on several weeks if you are really going to lean in to it. Backroads are starting to get snow cover so be smart about your gear and travel routes. Good Luck!

P.S. I got into a large pack about 3hrs after daylight this morning. I worked them hard but after about 90 minutes the wind shifted and they were GONE!
