Athlon Ares BTR half price

Just snagged one of the 4.5-27 BTR's. I already have a 4.5-27 and the 2.5-15, but was looking for another. For the price, this is pretty tough to beat.

I jumped on one of these also and it came in today. I was surprised to see that it came with the Gen 2 turrets. I assumed it would have had the Gen 1 turrets at this price.

I ordered mine from eBay. Came in the mail today. I think it's going to be a nice optic for the price. I called Athlon and asked them about removing the o-ring in the turrets. They advised I could remove them and it would not affect the warranty or reduce the water resistance as long as it wasn't submerged.

I feel like the eye relief is a little short but may decide I like it more when it's mounted on the rifle.
