Custom Call Maker
It’s been hotter than heck in the barn and I haven’t been working on calls lately. But between car shows and fixing hot rods I had to fire the lathe up for a special set for a Country Boy.
The first is a closed reed made from blue dyed Ash Burl, Axis deer antler and red dyed Russian Olivewood burl. It’s all sleeved with Blackwood. Put his initials in it. The next is just a one piece antler open reed with a paw print on it. Cool little antler keeper with his initials on it also. The last one is a sweet little one piece open reed from Springbok horn. Also with a horn keeper.
It was an honor to make these. Maybe I’ll get to see these being used someday. Until then I’ll just set in the shop with the stereo cranking up the Sinner’s tunes
