Just got the bowl top tripod from Field Optics Research and it is nice! If your in the market for a solid weapon tripod I recommend taking a look at them. There is a good review on YouTube from the shot show.
I went with the leveling head and direct mount, huge upgrade! The owner contacted me directly after I ordered, seemed sincerely glad to have me as a customer. After purchase if you register the product the warranty is extended to 3 years.
Reasonably priced plus they offer a generous military/law enforcement discount. Not affiliated with them but thought I'd share to anyone else struggling to find a quality set up and can't swing an RRS!
