First Peek at the 22-NXS!!

Reviweing waht I've shot in the past 45 days. All showed good primers and tight pockets. Accurcy was easily sub-moa in every powder shot. The only one that was uber-slow was LT-30 but it had good accuracy. H355 needs some more attention.

I am looking to shoot some of the heavier stuff in the near future. I have been shooting the new American 30 chambering quite a bit and it is moving along nicely. Also the 224 Valkyrie has been getting wrung out just to prove to myself that while it is adequate it is sure no barn burner.

I've put 199 rounds through the original barrel and another 200 through the current tube. I haven't seen much creep over those rounds on the throat and I don't expect it to have big erosion issues. Powder levels are not huge staying between 28 and 32 grains most of the time. That's about 1-1.5 grains over the 22 Nosler and about 15-20% below the 22-250.

I've been shooting a lot of different rounds at the bench over the past few months covering the 17-223, 20 LBC, 22 LBC, 6X6.8, 6.5 Grendel and some 458 SOCOM so this one doesn't get all the time it deserves. As I mentioned I'm looking over my list and seeing what I want to try next. I have some heavies I might want to try. I'm not sure how many in the 60 grain spectrum I've shot but they may well be what pops up next. I know I want to shoot some 63 grain Sierra semi-points for sure.

Yep at speeds from 3250 to 3530. Groups have been a solid 0.5 to 0.75 with no appreciable pressure signs on the fast ones. CFE 223 is the ticket on this one.

Haven't shot anything between 55 and 65. The speeds will be there and we know the accuracy is available. A couple more went out last month and the shooters were quite happy.

I do too. Nothing like a broad base of feedback. It is certainly more of a rarity than the 6X6.8 but for night work the flatness of the trajectory and bullet results on target it has a lot to offer.
