Small game, bird & trout

I am looking for a decent small game, B&T type fixed blade. I am not as traditional as others, so my tastes are a bit broader.

I would like micarta/g-10 type scales...I like how they work when wet and bloody. Good jugged wood or bone may be acceptable too..?

A decent sheath would be nice, though I don't belt carry them...just for storage and in my pack. Leather or Kydex are both fine.

I would like to be under $100.

Some ideas;

If you would consider a folder I have a suggestion. It's $130 but in my opinion it beats everything you or I have listed by a mile. It's not traditional, so if you want to stay in that lane this isn't your knife.

I do like that little Case XX, as I have a soft spot for them being as we're both from PA. And their surgical steel stainless is good stuff, IMO/E.

I don't hat the Bucks, just a bit bigger than I'd like. 2-3" would be what I want, in my mind anyway.

Now those Moore Maker seem about perfect, and I love carbon steel. Thanks for that suggestion.

As for the folder, I just hate cleaning the gunk out of the hinge point on a cleaning knife...maybe it's just me, but that's why I want to steer clear of those. Otherwise, I would have a Case XX bird hunter on the way already.

Queen Cutlery had a very nice little B&T with carbon steel blade. Hard to find now that the doors have closed there. Bark River has some decent smallish knives in the genre. Bark River will be more expensive.

Just remembered, there is a guy on the 24HR 'Fire that sells handmade knives from a bladesmith named Joshua Clarke. Search the classifieds for "jk16". The J. Clarke B&T sells for $95 with a leather sheath. They are thin stock carbon steel with various types of wood for handle scales. Never seen one in person but in the add they always catch my eye. Especially for that price. Plenty of new makers knives are great deals while they build a reputation and clientele. Might be worth a look?
