I bought a box of 50 new Hornady unprimed cases from an online dealer a couple months ago, and tried out a couple light loads in 42 of them, starting loads in the Hornady manual. Three of them split 3/4 of an inch up the side, about 1/4" up from the rim.
I called Hornady and sent them some pictures. They no longer make that caliber, 7x65R, but offered to send me my choice of brass. Within a week I had 50 rounds of 222 sent to me. Good customer relations in my book.
