All attendees are invited to come. We will answer questions about the hunting in Nevada. Several of us have hunted it before. HUNTING!

As with past Conventions, Predator Masters is NOT organizing a hunt. Any hunting that is done must be arranged privately between attendees for camaraderie. There is NO hunting contest, NO hunting prizes, NO check in location, and NO paid guiding. What you get is a great opportunity to meet and interact with other members from all over the United States and other countries to exchange ideas, methods, and techniques. The hunting that time of year should be outstanding.

Here is a link to the Nevada game information, license requirements, and maps.

Nevada Department of Wildlife

Here is the license fees. Note that no license is required to hunt coyotes unless you intend to sell the pelts.

License Fees Click Here

Trapping and hunting are legal means of harvesting the following furbearing animals in Nevada: beaver, mink, muskrat, otter, kit fox, red fox, gray fox, and bobcat. However, gray fox and bobcat are closed to nonresidents. A trapping license is required to hunt or trap any of these furbearers.

Some species can be hunted in Nevada without a hunting license, but a trapping license is required to trap them: They include the coyote, black-tailed jackrabbit, badger, weasel, spotted skunk, striped skunk, raccoon and the ring-tailed cat.

NOTE: A trapping license is required for any person of any age who sells raw furs of any kind, whether taken by trap or by firearm

The roads are mostly rutted, rocky, or dirt/mud. A 4-wheel drive isn't required in most areas, but a vehicle with high ground clearance is. If you are renting a car, it would be best to get a truck or SUV type.

If you have a GPS unit, definitely get a chip for it that will display land ownership for Nevada. There is more public land here than you can travel. However, there is a diversity of land status too. There is private, BLM, state and Indian reservation. Get a chip! One of the sponsors of Predator Masters has GPS chips available for Nevada and they are OnX Maps

I'm already planning on the trip. This convention is a gas for me. I'm planning on being there the weekend before and camping out at the State Park again. If you going to stay at the park bring your hip boots as the BS gets deep at night.

Hope to see the gang that stayed there last year again. It was FUN.

See You There, anyone up for Hawaiian Curry or may be a fish fry if I have a good summer?

Right now I'm having to decide between a week off for big game hunting or another trip down to the convention. Last year's convention was a blast and I wish I had enough vacation for both. Decisions, decisions...

Matlock, you only get one shot big game hunting, coyotes you can shoot until you get too tired.

Surprisingly your Kale salad would be missed. As far as Kale salad yours is actually the best I've ever eaten.

Somebody has to drink cheap scotch with me.

Matlock,If crittr gittr's Dutch Oven Sloppy Joe's aren't enough to entice you I am pretty sure the Craps Table has been calling your name every night since last September!

It's good to know I'd be missed

I guess I'll just see what happens with my draws. Hunting Idaho's general seasons is getting harder and harder every year, too many people moving here.

Hope you can make it again. There is going to be another nice AR on the table for the egg shoot. Going to have some Zeiss optics this year for prizes as well. Dtech is donating an upper and Christensen Arms is donating a couple 204 Ruger barrels. We have another suppressor this year as well. I hear TNVC is sending something as well as MOJO. Still working on some other prizes. I will be hoping to win the Champions shoot for the 4th year in a row, need to make sure the wife does not beat me. I would not hear the end of that for some time.

OK, I told the boss I'm taking off that week so I can drive out and attend this year. Looking forward to meeting all who attend, might actually tip a few coyotes over also.
