My wife and I hit the swamp again and this time she was the "Hammer". We had a lot of gobbles at daylight but the standing water must have stopped their advance towards us. Things eventually got quiet until about 9 when we again heard gobbles answering her calls from a different direction. This nice gobbler circled us 180 and came in high stepping with a RED head. My wife made a great shot at 42 yds with her 2 3/4" 12ga #6 shot. Hammered him flat, in the mud. Not much of turkey was presentable for a picture but you can see the 1 1/4" sharp spurs of a really nice bird.
