Anyone on here shooting the g2 hunter or compact hunter? How is the accuracy? What ammo is being used? The compact hunter is appealing with its weight but not sure on the 16" barrel in the .243.

Can't help you on the G2 but I know a few with the original models and they are very accurate. I think you should evaluate one for us!

I think I may do that. Now the question is 16" or 20"? it will be a night hunting rig with a pulsar xq50lrf.

I have a DPMS AR-10 lower with a DPMS 20in 243 upper.
Full tube handguard, I like it.
I shoot Remington factory 100gr SP, off a tripod @ night.
I may change the handguard, My Specwar 7,62 cut the noise down.

I vote 20" but it's not my $! 16 would definitely be handier but range is hard to judge at night. 20" + 58 grain superformance = flat trajectory.

I am thinking of getting a ar10 before the next election and the G2 caught my eye. although I have not done a ton of research yet my question is what is the aftermarket support for mags and barrels??

Get the 20”. If you want to go 16”, you might as well go with 6x6.8 with the velocity you’ll lose.
