I'm a coyote hunter from Ohio....but getting in on a hog hunt in South Carolina the middle of March. What do I need to take? Or leave at home? Listing what I'm thinking below. Not a guided hunt just some family friends letting me visit but definitely have a hog issue. Also take the thermal off and put it in my carry on or leave it mounted in the Pelican? I'm thinking take it off... gonna want to shoot it when I get there regardless.

AR-10 .243/w thermal
Thermal scanner
Batteries/charger ect.
Tripod
Ammo/mags 100rnds? I hand load and shipping this separately ahead of time.
Clothing per the weather

Thanks in advance... I know I'm forgetting lots.

All I can tell you is......Better to have it and not need it than to.....you probably know the rest.

Mid March could be short sleeves or over coats. Make sure the property is enrolled in the night hunting program, doesn't matter who does it, but it's got to be enrolled to be legal. Oh, and a thermal-cell is a must no matter the weather. Trust me.

What area in SC. I hunt at night in Manning. The swamps have been flooded most of the winter so it's pushed the hogs to higher grounds
