Hi
I was thinking about picking up a 7.62x39 for nighttime hog hunting.
I was just wondering if any of you guys/gals have experience shooting them with a 10in 7.62x39 . If so how does it do ? Would you stick to a 16in x39?
This will be ran suppressed on a pistol lower.

I have a 12" 6.5 Grendel on a pistol lower....Suppressed.
Shooting the Factory ammo Hornaday 123 ELD.
Drops "em in their tracks .
7.62x39 ought to do just as good.

Nice rig grendel!
I'm currently running a 12in Grendel as well! It's a hammer! I was thinking the 7.62 would be a nice alternative to run occasionally being that I have a ton of ammo on hand from my ak days. I'm just not sure weather I want a 10in or 16in. I prefer the shorter rigs over the longer ones. I just dont want to give up performance if its vital to ensure quick kills with this caliber.

I have a 7.5" SBR AR47 and a 10.5" sbr ak47. Dont know anything about hog hunting but ballistic wise, not much difference between the 7.62x39 and 300 BO. The 300 BO has better ammo options and feeds more reliable than an AR47.
