Inferno battery life

Looking at getting either an Inferno ($199) or Patriot ($119) this week but wondering how the battery life is with four batteries? Also wondering how the sound carries in the wind with the speakers in these units? Winds from 10-20 pretty much the norm here.
Thanks for any input.
 
I run external speaker with Inferno & Fusion. Better carry extra batteries for Inferno in cold weather, you will need them.
