Up the road a ways they are building a new Amazon fulfillment center.
Four story 2.5 million square feet. 118 acre site. It's just big.

we have a new one here, not far from my house. I need to find out where so I can do a fly by & check it out
 
I heard from a guy that makes replacement batteries for their robots,
that the warehouses are dark, full of robot vehicles that store and retrieve stuff and they don't need
lights, or food, or union breaks, just need to get their batteries recharged at the end of a shift.
Check the parking lots when you drive by, see how may cars (humans) are at work.
 
it was all over the news when they were finishing up this one that it was about 1500 jobs as I recall.

they have been automating like crazy, so no idea how many it still is.
