Building a new pig gun

As some of you know, I need another gun like I need a fresh ex wife, but I'm going to build one anyhow.
I have narrowed it down to 2 calibers and just want your ideas.
rifle specs:
16" barrel
AR15 platform
Rifle useage
Intermediate range hog and varmint thumper
Intend to put NV/thermal scope on unit
OK, here comes the screaming match...caliber
6.5 Grendel
or
300 Blackout?
I'm thinking the 6.5.......

You could reach out there a little further with the 6.5 but if all of your shots are 200 yards or less the .300 Blackout will do a fine job. Especially if you're wanting to run it suppressed. Two of my buddies have them and they shoot suppressed. Pretty sweet set up but that's really the only reason I can see to get one. A 7.62x39 or something like that would do just as good and would be cheaper to shoot.

I agree with Jim87 -

Why not a 6.8? I like the knock down power of a 120 SST. I have been hunting hogs with it since 2012.

I use the Grendel as well but find Factory 123 does not work to good. I found the 100gr Sierra varminters work pretty good on hogs. Hard to find them though. They are always sold out.
