Picked up a savage 116 in 300 win mag for a steal of a price. Noticed the crappy plastic trigger guard was cracked. Is there a metal upgrade out there?? This is the one with the bolt release on the bottom

My .308 Scout has steel trigger guard (bottom bolt release), so imagine Savage has them for the longer action. May use same guard??

Check ebay. I even found a company making bottom metal for ruger Americans in Boyd’s stocks.

I've bought steel trigger guards directly from Boyds for savages.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska.
