I think that will work good for you. That Trijicon scope does have good glass.

Ruger American with used leupold. This would be a good combo that is reasonably priced.

I've killed most of my coyotes with a .223, so you will be fine with that choice. Good luck on coyotes!

Like others have said, the Ruger American Predator (RAP) in 243 or 6.5 creedmoor is probably the best choice. I had a RAP in 6.5 creedmoor and it was a sub 3/4moa rifle w/ most match ammo. You can find these used on the internet for $300 range.
