tikka t3 recoil pad

I would like to shorten the length of pull on my t3 with a thinner pad that will fit on my stock. does any one have information where I might get one? thanks spike

I shortened my tikka to 12-1/2 lop I used the original pad just ground it to fit

7m08, what did you use, a belt sander? and did it finish up smooth? thanks for the reply, spike

I used a 12" disc sander at work to finish it. Came out better than expected. Perfect, no probably not. I have had a couple friends ask me to shorten guns for them since seeing mine. Go slow. I scribe a line on it to rough it in then I mount it on the stock. I wrap stock in duc-tape and finish sanding. The small hand held dremils will do a fine job of smoothing it out. Hope this helps.
