My new .223 AI

Smokin Barrel

I have this completed for a while now and been shooting it all summer. I may have found my new favorite rifle....and the kids like it too. Marty at Twisted Barrel chambered it up for me and Doug at Glenrock Blue did the Cerakoting. I am shooting 75gr ELD's over H335.

Other that that stubby 18" barrel that looks great. I prefer a good 24" barrel on my .223 AI but I shoot off a bench all the time.

Anyway, good job and keep us informed as to how it shoots. I know mine does because that's what I used to kill prairie dogs at 700 yards.

What a purdy shooter you got there. I have a buddy that shoots a 223AI and his go-to powder is also H335. I agree with who me: a can would look great on that gun.

I second that.

Should be on there just after the first of the year.

Good looking piece you have there.

My 223ai is built on a SA Rem 700 as well and has a little longer barrel, but not much longer. Mine is 22 inches and they're very quiet, shooting them suppressed.

Great job, looks outstanding. You did all the right things but why not a 220 Swift.
Don't get me wrong your choices are right there, you did all the right things.
Why doesn't anyone shoot the 220 Swift anymore?
I have only been shooting the swift for almost 60 years, it works.
You have one great rifle there and should be a fly killer.
We would print a postcard with 6 flies on it for a target.
