Broke my FoxPro Deadbone remote.

I tried to take the 9 volt battery out of the remote today,I did get it out but the little piece on the battery clip that snaps down into the negative terminal on the 9 volt battery came off inside of the terminal. I got it back out and finally got it back on the battery clip so it does get a good connection and the remote will turn on and off. But I bet the next time I snap it clear down onto the battery it'll pop off again when I disconnect the battery.

Do you reckon I could solder it back onto the battery clip so it'll stay or what should I do? Hopefully I explained everything in a way so that you'll understand what I mean...anybody ever had this happen before? I think it can be fixed but I don't want to mess with it until I know if that's what I should do.
