After getting on some good fish last month in Florida, I got the bug for more saltwater fishing.
Me and my son and a couple of buddies decided to make 2.5 hour drive to fish at Crystal Beach.
We started off near the ferry trying to catch of speckled trout on popping corks, but not luck at all.
We then moved to the surf to try our luck. The week before a friend had landed some good bull reds, so we had high hopes.
The beach was crowded but we stuck with it. We ended up with one shark, some gaff tops, and some hard heads.
This black tip was 27 inches and legal, but I turned him back.
A guy down the beach about a hundred yards caught one about 4.5 feet.
No reds, but it was a good long day of fishing. I will be going back when the reds are running.
