224 Valkyrie load data

Anyone seen much yet? I want to use it for pigs because I already have a 22 cal suppressor. Currently using a 6.8, any ideas if it will come close to the 6.8 performance ?

I haven't seen any but to answer I'm sure it will kill them but no way it can hit as hard as a larger bullet. I'd go with a large barnes or cbb.

IF you compare a 16" 6.8 using a 120gr SST at 2500 FPS vs a 24" 224V using a 90gr SMK at 2700fps. The 6.8 starts out 200FTLB energy higher.
If it were me, id rather just have the heavier and slower 6.8.
But the .224V shouldnt have a problem killing them if you hit them in the right spot.

The 200 pound advantage at the muzzle is given up rather quickly however.

Just got a DTech 224 Valkyrie and first load I tried was 88gr Hornady and it’s running 2715 from 20inch barrel.
Shoots great but have not shot a pig yet maybe this weekend.

Well I forgot the 70 grain RDF loads at home (perfect). 27.0 grains of RL17, with an 88 grain ELD-M, gave me 2630 ft/s out of an 18" barrel. Accuracy hovered around an inch. 2.300" COL

27.0 grain of RL15 and a 53 grain varmageddon gave me a shade under a 1/2" at 100 yards. Didn't chronograph. 2.250" COL

Factory 75 grain TMJ, listed at 3000 ft/s gave me 2800 ft/s in my 18" barrel.

It is a new barrel, with less than 50 rounds downrange.
