I only got an hour or so before work to get out and had been on this guy and his buddy a few times just couldn't connect. Last Wednesday morning he was roosted in a different spot on the back of the field to my right. I almost moved but it was pretty light and didn't want to risk bumping these birds. It paid off as I had a hen fly down and land well within gun range to my left and a single gobble came farther back to my left. The hen did all the calling but proceeded to walk away along the woods to my left. Soon the tom to my right and a hen paraded by just out of gun range. I figured it was over but he decided to be a bully and chase two jakes right back to me, big mistake grin

Congrats, that's a nice looking bird! Neat looking scenery too - almost looks like one of those photographer studio fake backdrops. smile All these turkey stories on here lately is making me want to give hunting them a try finally.

Nobody likes a bully.
Congrats on getting him.
That is picturesque scenery for sure.

Nice. And a great photo to boot.
