A few Virginia Coyotes

Hello Everyone, Thought I would post a few pictures of My Virginia coyotes Ive called up since October 17'. All were killed in the daytime. Killed 5 but one picture wouldn't upload, Called up 7 but wasn't quick enough on the bolt. I do a lot of lurking and reading but hope to be more active in the future, Certainly the best predator site on the web ! Ton of information and great people ! Hope to exchange stories and tactics !

Thanks Guys ! First and last picture is a Remington 700 .223 . Second picture is a Remington 700 Long Range in 25-06 . Wood stock gun is an old Remington 700 .243 . They all have there strong points and disadvantages . Old .243 is a good compromise !

932 You must be doing something right! We hunt that area as well and have given up on the daytime hunts. Night hunts have tons more action for us.

Thank You ! Trust me on this ! I struggled bad for a few years while hunting at night with a light. Called and killed Fox and Cats with regularity. BUT not one coyote ! Finally figured out that as far as the Coyotes, I could do much better in the daylight. To me daylight coyote hunting is very much like hunting turkeys aggressively which I've been doing for 44 years. Maybe somebody will show me how to use a light on Coyotes one of these days ! Lol
 
I would not even bother with the lights. 9 out of 10 spook the minute they get lit up. We switched to thermal and THAT makes a huge difference. In fact my buddy and I went last night between the rain and called 4 in on one stand. We got 2 for sure, 1 is dead in the weeds we couldn't find, and had one miss. Pretty darn good for VA.

That does sound like a good night ! About everyone says their success rate goes up when they up grade.
