To reload or not?

200-300 for case of 7-08, 150-200 for 500 .223 should last you for many years. Gives you time to decide and or shop for reloading equipment, just save your brass.

You will need a press, and get a strong one, a case trimmer, probably a hand priming tool(using a press will get old fast), probably some way to clean your cases, a dial caliper to check case dimensions, and a powder scale. The tool list will increase as you learn, but this covers the basics.

You can make spray case lube with lanolin, and ISO-HEET, and case cleaning can be done by simply soaking them in citrus acid, found in the Wal-Mart food canning section. Just put your cases in a plastic ice cream pail, cover with warm water, add a scoop or two of powdered citrus acid, and stir. Leave it sit for 30 minutes, or less, rinse thoroughly and dry. They won't be perfectly beautiful, but they will be clean and shiny. I use this as prep for dirty tarnished range brass, and then run it though my vibratory cleaner and walnut shell media. But it will work as a low budget cleaner, with out the vibratory cleaner run.

P.S. Forgot a couple of items. You will need shell holders for the cartridges you have dies for, and get a good Reloading manual, or three. And READ them. They will have load data, so if you can look the data over for your starting cartridges, that might guide you to which manuals you prefer to start with.
