new bee here. lots of guys say its really hard to get them to come out into fields. should I concentrate on getting in the deep woods and call there? maybe sitting in my tree stand and call with e caller? any suggestions? I have a mouth caller to arrive on Friday to try as well. no shots yet. been at it for 2 yrs on n off. thanks

Have you had any successes so far?
They hang out in fields to hunt mice and rabbits, especially at night so I wouldn't look at that as an obstacle. Maybe try slipping inside the woods right at first light and calling.
Best advice I can give is to do as much scouting as you can beforehand, pay attention to the wind and weather, gain permission to as much land as possible to avoid over-calling an area.

Like reloader said, keep at it, especially that first light in the woods and wind advice. I've had luck with bird sounds recently, but it took me years to start scoring. And don't forget, we call in more than we see in the timber. Good luck!
