Looking for a unicorn!

Have a friend that is looking for a unicorn of sorts.

He's looking for a 14.5" lightweight/pencil barrel with a CARBINE length gas system.

Anyone have one/know of one/ make one???

Daniel Defense makes a lightweight profile 14.5 with a carbine length gas. It is close to a pencil, but not quite.

I have a DPMS pencil barrel upper 16in that shoot very good.
No 1/2 inch groups but under 1 1/2 moa on a cold barrel.
With XM93 55gr Lake City rounds.

14.5 lightweight barrel in carbine gas length not currently made by any manufacturer. Why??? There has to be a reason.
