Mini-Mauser , Remington 799 , Zastava M-85 Walnut Stock

I have a Remington 799 with the "crappy" plywood stock it came with and I was looking for a new stock. Sarco Inc apparently bought all the old inventory from the now defunct "Inter-arms" and has replacement Walnut stocks for these guns ( the old mauser mark X product line). I just got one and it is a nice piece of strait grained walnut and a stock that is sized appropriately for the gun . It has a nice check piece and pressed "but well executed" checkering. There are some imperfections that probably came from being moved around the warehouse but besides that a nice stock for $80.

I'm sure everybody that owns one already knows all this but it was news to me . Just thought I would share.

I bought one 8 years ago Inter-arms Yugo import. I put it in a B&C stock.
It had a ugly beech stock.
It shoot very good, I have it for field carry rifle, 223.
It really like 55gr Lake City rounds, 5,56mm.
No signs of pressure problems.
You may not need a new barrel.
