I have never used a 240 FLIR but I did own a 320 FLIR Scout for 4 flawless years.
I wanted to upgrade to a 640 unit so I took a chance with the new Pulsar Helion XP line.
After 2 defective Pulsars I went back to FLIR, this time the 640 Scout 111.
I will admit that the Helion had a better image, but all of the issues that I had with both of them turned me back to the proven FLIR line.
My old 320 is still working flawlessly for my buddy and my new 640 works flawlessly so far for me.
You might get a good Pulsar and be happy with it but that was not my experience.
