With meetings scheduled for half day today and all day Wednesday & Thursday, I would make sure to get out for a quick hunt this morning.
Set up a couple hundred yards from the rim of the river valley and start off with some female coyote howls. Not a minute had passed when I see this big dark (male)coyote coming across the field. At a 129 yards it stops to look around and that is when I send a 52 gr h.p. from the 223 on its way.

Can't see the hind quarters, but the coyote looks good yet. The last 6 or so I have shot in the last week all have been rubbed. Took them to my fur buyer and his comment to me was every coyote he has received in the last few weeks has fur damage of some kind. Fur season is about over in ND, but your coyote still looks good. Keep stacking them up.
