Well I sent off my pelts to NAFA and now I have a couple more that I will keep for next year. What is the best way to keep pelts that have been processed?? Rudy
Storing coyote pelt that is skinned,fleshed and stretched?

one time, long, long ago coyote fur prices took a dump along about mid winter. i decided to keep the furs i had put up until the following winter. i took each one and folded it in half length wise. stacked them all together and put them in a big plastic trash sack and then put another trash sack over that. double sacked. then i wrapped the bundle in a blanket. was trying to keep them from freezer burn.
put them in a chest freezer. next winter i took them out and they looked as good as they did when they were put in the freezer. sold them the following year with no issues.

It is definitely better to freeze stretched and dried skins then green skins. Less moisture,less freezer burn.
