The only thing worse than having this powder discontinued is now learning of a recall. It was back in 2015 but i never knew until today. Went to my stash, and sure enough i had 2 pounds bad. One of the lids was rusting through because of the chemical release from the powder decomposing. Whooh the ammonia smell!! Spooky for sure.

Anyone have a stash of it best go check it.

That is sort of a problem, I buy when I see it or feel the need. During the low inventory times a person has to buy what they see on shelves... looking to the future.
 
Naw, I took it out and burned it. Never burned a whole pound of powder before much less 2. I just poured 1 pound out on the ground about a foot long, lit it in the middle and wow the fire for maybe 15 or 20 seconds. That was so fun I did the other pound.

It was depression era powder, so that was 60 pounds of cheddar in 30-40 seconds, but hey it's only powder. Lots of it now.
