Anyone have a 6mm DTI? How do u like it

I picked up a 6mm DTI upper in a trade. It has been shot very little (under 100 rounds). It has 22in shilen barrel medium taper fluted threaded 5/8 24. I did some reading after picking it up and I am thinking 55gr Ballistic tips will be some bad coyote medicine. Who has one? How do u like it? Anyone have a favorite load for yours you are willing to share so I have a starting point. I also want to load some 80 trainers up for deer. I am looking at cutting edge raptors for that. Any and all info your willing to share is greatly appreciated.

I have the same upper,maybe. mine is a 1-10 twist shoots 70 blitzkings well and IMO 85 g partitions should shoot great for deer. if yours is 1-12 twist it should shoot 55s ok
 
I love mine. I did a write up about it HERE.

There's some load data in THIS thread, my loads are the last two posts. I've been using 55gr NBTLF @ 3545fps with fantastic results.

Nice rifle and dog. I looked at your link thank u. I hope mine shoots well I messaged DTECH as well to get a starting point for loading up some round. I am anxious to get out and shoot it.

Are your speeds with virgin brass or formed? I been working loads with mine and I'm loving it so far.
 
I have had mine for about 2 weeks and love it, I only bought a barrel, bolt and dies and put it on my DPMS prairie panther It is a 20", 12 twist. I have been shooting, 70 nosler with 29.5 gr of AR comp, CCI BR 4 primers. Followed dirty dog and tried some 55 Nosler LF using AR comp with these too shooting @ 3520, seems like I am getting good velocity out of AR comp. I cant wait to take a coyote with it.
 
Finally had a blow out on coyote #6 with the 55gr NBT-LF. He turned to look back and the bullet hit his snout, entered the front near shoulder a little high, and blew out the back side a bit. I had to shoot through some branches so who knows if it knicked one going in.

I have a 10 twist 6 mm DTI that loves the 70 gr Nosler ballistic tip with H4895 and TAC. They knock coyotes flat at 3200 fps. It also shoots Barnes 80 gr TTSX and Nosler 55 gr BT well too. It is my go to coyote rifle.
