Being that California has enacted laws that forbid state and local LEO from assisting with the Feds on illegal immigration, legalized pot, barred feds from entering churches, schools, etc. What is to keep a conservative state from passing its own "hearing protection act". Granted the MFG, retailer and buyer all reside in that state?

A few Federal Obstructing Justice arrests with a few high profile people should take care of this. I once saw a Coroner refuse to release some paint samples taken off a microwave tower 300’ in the air. It was a privat plane crash and the FAA demanded the samples. He politely told them there was plenty more 350’ up, they were having my hats bigger than yours moment. By the time he drove to the morgue for follow up, the phone rang. And it was a Federal Judge asking if he needed to send Federal Marshals to get the sample and him to be brought to his bench in Indianapolis. Problem ended there and then.
