Lighter bullets and h4895 load data.

I'm struggling to find any published data pertaining to 55gr vmax and h4895.I'm using wsr primer and lake city brass in 223 temington. Any input or help would be greatly appreciated

Since you're using LC brass, assume 223. Hodgdon #26 lists start of 24.0 @ 2893 fps and max 26.0 @ 3099.

Sierra has H4895 load data for the 55gr bullets in the bolt action section of their load manual. You can find it in PDF form on accurate shooter .com pretty easy too.

They start at 23.1 and end at 26.1 grains of H4895 for their entire inventory of 55gr bullets. Blitz King included.

Starting some place in the middle of that range, and then proceed with great caution above the 25.5 grain mark will serve you well IMO.

My guess is 25.5 grains would be an awesome load if you were not showing signs of pressure.
