What would you need to do to make this rifle use a detachable box magazine? I have $250 in Cabela's cards and $100 in points.

The rebate states it is for a model 12FCV and the listing is for a 12FV. The C may be for Camo. Does this still qualify?

think the c stands for cabelas. there is a sticker on the stock that states "cabelas exclusive".

and yes, they rebate is good for the fcv rifles also.

Looking at the black Friday flyer I received just the other day it shows the 12FV:

I might just have to jump on the 6.5 Creedmoor wagon at this price.

$100 mail in rebate... $10 gift card for being one of the 1st 600 people in line. Then the cashier scanned another $20 card with a wink and a smile....then 5% military discount....if I recall my rifle ended up being about $180. .204 Ruger and it is a sweet shooter. Love my 12fv rifles. Also the 12 fcv is the model with removable magazine.

I bought 2 of them in 6.5 creedmoor over the weekend. They were 319 then the 100 rebate. They also took 25 of off each one since I have a cabelas credit card. So mine ended up being 195 each. It was a no brainer.

I have a spare vortex hslr 4-16 and a shillen 24" sporter contour 22-250AI 1-8"twist barrel setting here so one of these 6.5's is getting a barrel swap this weekend.
